In terms of design nous, Treann House is one of the most polished B & Bs we've seen in Cornwall. The rooms have been flawlessly styled by owner, Emma Caddis to create a look that combines new, old and rejuvenated vintage pieces against a background of fresh whites and creams.

All three rooms are way above average (even in chic Padstow), but our money would go on the ethereal Estuary Room with white deco armchairs, a superking size white cast-iron bed and breathtaking estuary views.

All rooms come with a glossy black digital radio, iPod dock, locally blended aromatherapy toiletries, robes and a mini fridge stocked with complimentary wine, nibbles and water as standard.

Treann House is a fantastic place to stay, a beautiful house with terrific views out over the water.

On a sunny day it would be hard to beat the experience of breakfasting on the balcony (their full English is also very good indeed) and the owners go out of their way to make your stay memorable. A brilliant find.
